Today, the article featured on here is one of the most highly requested articles. You know how we all want to have a list of movies for every occasion just so that, if the need arises for a marathon, there is no time wasted in picking up titles to watch. So there you go ladies and gentlemen, we have picked the top ten Christmas movies, most of which we know will amaze you even if you have already watched them before. We pondered for a while whether we should be brining you a collection of just Christmas horror, Christmas fiction, Christmas romance or Christmas action, to name a few genres. We then settled for a collection that is a delightful mixtures of all varieties. So take you pick or watch them all off of our list of top ten Christmas movies.
10. Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale
The first movie on our list of top ten Christmas movies is part of the horror genre. The movie, Rare Exports, A Christmas Tale, is a bizarre horror-spin on Christmas stories. What this movie does is give you that particularly dreamy (in a chilly kind of way) Christmas feeling. The most interesting thing is perhaps that fact that the movie takes into consideration all the Christmas tales that you have been hearing all your life but certainly from a different more merry perspective. This film might not put you in the festive spirit but will certainly be one of the highlights of your movie marathon.
9. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang : Christmas Movies
Next up on our list of top ten Christmas movies is Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, one of the most famous Christmas movies ever. The best things about this movie include, without a doubt, great dialogue, amazing characters, and performances, with plenty of genre reversals courtesy of writer-director Shane Black And we all are aware that Shane Black is known for creating holiday centred movies that draw your attention like none other would!
8. Love Actually
Next up on our list of top ten Christmas movies is Love Actually. We maybe should have placed this movie at the end of our list simply because this is the greatest holiday sap-fest ever—in the best way. You have multiple stories of love (10, to be exact), between parents and children, friends, family, and of course, attractive people who want to have sex with each other. It’s impossible to get bored with so many stories bouncing around, all of which tie together blissfully at a Christmas concert. One of the best things about this movie (the whole movie has best moments) is the fact that many of our favourite English actors make an appearance like Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson, Mr. Beans- which we believe is a factor that will keep you thoroughly entertained. The awesomeness of the movie can be judged by many remakes like like Valentine’s Day and New Year’s Eve. That’s how you know it’s real.
7. The Nightmare Before Christmas
Next up on our list of top ten Christmas movies is The Nightmare Before Christmas. Simply put, the story line is that Jack Skellington stumbles upon a portal to Christmas Town and spends the rest of the movie trying to convince his townspeople to have a less spooky holiday. The fact that it doesn’t go according to plan is what makes is amazing. This movie is responsible for introducing a generation to some amazing stop-motion animation. For some people, The Nightmare Before Christmas has become a holiday tradition and trust us, it is truly worth the honour.
