10. An Irregular Sleeping Pattern
The first and the foremost habit that we are going to mention on our list is an irregular sleeping pattern. We are all so used to going to late night parties and watching movies till the sun starts to rise and then making our way to schools, colleges, universities and work looking like zombies. Little do we realize that an irregular sleeping pattern poses so many health risk and can eventually be fatal! We know that your mouths must be hanging open in shock and you must be think how an irregular sleeping pattern can be fatal but trust is, if you sleep cycle isn’t regular, not only will it dumb you down but will also lead to heart disease, heart attack, heart failure and irregular heartbeat to mention a few. We bet you didn’t know that!
9. Binge Eating
We all love to eat right? There is nothing more pleasing than settling in for a night of your favorite television show with some delicious fat filled goodies all cozy and snuggled up in bet. Binge eating is the next habit on our list of habits killing you slowly. Just like anorexia, binge eating poses a lot of health risks. To say that binge eating can lead to many health issues and body problems is just icing on the cake. A proper scientific research has concluded that binge eating on a regular basis can literally cause your body to simply give up without any signs or symptoms what so ever. This really means what you think its means, your body would just stop living. Treat your body with respect because it is really true when they say that you are what you eat so eat sensibly.
8. Consuming Sugar Free Drinks and Solids
Another huge misconception is that fact that we appear to think that if we drink diet soda in place of regular soda and if we eat sugar free products off the rack instead of real fruits and salads maybe we would be able to lose all weight and maintain our figure. This is incorrect in entirety. Make it a habit to read the label for ingredients if you really have to eat off the rack. Going organic as much as possible is the best way because these on-the-face-of-it sugar free products are packed with so many other harmful ingredients that will eat away at your organs and you wouldn’t even know till it’s too late.
7. Eating at your desk
Next up we come to another interesting little habit on our list of habits killing you slowly and that can wreak havoc with your health. We totally understand how you can get the compulsion to eat at your table especially when there is tons of work and you do not want to snap out of your work mode. A study was conducted at the University of Arizona and that declared that not only does eating at your desks renders you inactive it also increases your chances of getting a disease since your work station, believe it or not, is 400 times more germ prone that an average toilet seat. Would you eat at your toilet seat? We thought so!
6. Sleeping with Pillows and a Mattress
At this point, we are pretty sure that you are beginning to think that we have lost. Quite on the contrary thought because doctors have proven that until and unless you put covers on your pillows and on your mattress, you are putting yourself in harms’ way. Did you know that the weight of a mattress will double up in ten year’s and what adds to the weight include body hair, bodily secretions, fungal mold and bacteria to mention ONLY a few. So are we clear on this?
5. Your Kitchen Sponge
This is a no brainer, this next habit on our list of habits killing you slowly. We all are in the habit of cleaning down our kitchen counters with the same sponge that we use to wash the dishes and then what is even worse is that we wait till the sponge itself is not in pieces before we switch onto a new one. The reason is that we cannot bear to spend the extra few pennies on a new sponge. This sponge can accumulate no less than a million bacteria and we all know what bacteria is capable off. It won’t kill you instantly but hey, why should you allow this to happen!
4. Taking over-the-counter Pain Killers for everything
We are all aware that more than 25 percent of women suffer from migraines and we are also aware that once those babies hit you, you immediately want cover. Taking local pain killers regularly for extended periods of time is not the solution. Consult your doctor and look for a permanent more health efficient solution.
3. Grilling Meat
The next habit is grilling meat outdoors and it comes at number three on our list of habits that are slowly killing you. During the grilling process when the fat falls off onto the grill, gets cooked and smoke releases, that smoke contains polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and heterocyclic amines that can cause cancer. Limit this activity, use microwaves to remove excess fat before grilling and chose pieces of leaner meat to avoid this.
2. ATM Machines
Here is another habit that is slowly killing you and another very close relative to the toilet seat. Research has proven that ATM machines and especially the keypads have as much germ collection as a general toilet seat. We are in the habit of using ATMs and then not cleaning off our hands which can lead to lots of germs and then diseases. Make it a point to keep an antibacterial hand gel with you at all times and use it to clean your hands whenever you use anything public like an ATM machine.
1. Little White Lies

You know how we are all used to these little things that we say that don’t mean anything and they never hurt anyone but research has proven that even these little white lies cause automatic stress to a human being thereby making us more vulnerable to health issues. Our body reacts to stress in ways that we don’t even know and various skin conditions are proof of that. Avoiding these unnecessary things can lead to a healthier lifestyle.
