Malaysian Airline Flight And Its Counterparts
10. Amelia Earhart
The case of Amelia is very commonly known since the year 1937. Amelia Earhart was a pioneer aviator and she is known to have totally vanished while over the Pacific Ocean during an attempt to navigate the globe. Just like the Malaysian airline, people gave several different reasons for her not being found, one more ridiculous than the other and some were claiming that she was actually a spy. It was only last year that some researchers claimed that they found remnants of the plane that she was on. Imagine, a claim after nearly a century! How absurd is that.
9. D B Cooper
We then have another aviation mystery regarding DB Cooper, another very well known name. This incident took place in the year 1971 and in this case, it was again a Boeing 727 same like the Malaysian airline whose location is currently unknown. DB Cooper hijacked the pane, stole 200,000 dollars and jumped out of the rear exit of the plane during flight and was never seen again. Amazing, given the altitude of the plane but a mystery none the less.
8. Twa Flight 800
The next mystery on our list of aviation mysteries similar in nature to the disappeared Malaysian flight MH370, we have Twa Flight 800. At this point it is practically needless to say that this airline was also a Boeing 747. This incident happened in the 1996. The plane suffered a terrible crash, the reason for which was unknown then and is unknown now, causing the 230 people on board to die instantly. The case was investigated for 16 months and no evidence of any sort was discovered.
7. Air France 447
This Air France Flight 447 incident took place in 2009 and it was not a Boeing. Instead it was an airbus carrying more than 200 passengers and a dozen crew members. The mysterious thing is that the airbus disappeared while on its way to Paris and no trace of it was found. This mystery was solved almost two years later when they found the black box of the plane. Speculations still exist that these were planted.
6. Flying Tiger Line Flight 739
The Flying Tiger Line Flight 739 incident happened in the year 1962 where a flight carrying 93 US soldiers disappeared and went completely off the radar. The only report that was ever revealed was that a civil tanker had seen an explosion in the sky but no remains were found and no remains have been found to date.
