1. If Nothing Works, Set Yourself On Fire
I’d be concluding this top ten old beauty secrets list with a treatment I personally found shocking. I came around this “fire treatment” which was widely used in China back in the days for toning and tightening of skin. A towel soaked with alcohol and herbs would be placed on the targeted part of body (face, arms, back, legs) and it would be set on fire. This treatment was somehow supposed to fix skin. It wasn’t considered dangerous as the fire is lit for a couple of seconds. But it would definitely make you question human sanity or would at least surprise you. Chinese have always been known to come up with the most bad-ass experiments.
