What in your opinion is the easiest and the quickest way of earning fame and recognition? Well, if you ask me, I would go for ‘Setting up a crazy world record like these fellows on our list’. Amazingly so, these ten weirdest world records are somewhat insane. I mean, anyone can come up with something like this. You just need to think of something really weird – something that no one else has yet or ever thought of doing – and there you go, you are a world record holder!!! Let’s see what we have on our list!
10. Snow Endurance Record : Weirdest World Records
How much cold can you endure? Well, Jin Songhao has an abnormal tendency to endure the coldness of the snow. He has made it to our list of ten weirdest world records owing to his record display of full body contact with snow. The record was set in January, 2013, in Yanji, Jilin Province. He set a record for spending over 46 minutes in the snow…without any clothes on, of course. The only trick he used was that he kept drinking beers, which in turn kept his body temperature under control.
9. The Longest Cigar
The next strange world record on our list of ten weirdest world records is the longest cigar. Like seriously?? That’s all they could think of, after all? The longest cigar? Anyways, the world’s longest cigar is 268 feet and 4 inches in length. It broke the record of the previous longest cigar of 148 feet and 9 inches. It was kept to display at an old Spanish fort.
8. Human Magnet
Ever thought anyone could hold a record for functioning like a magnet? I bet you never did. Etibar Elchiyev has won a title for Human Magnet. Above in the picture, as you can see, he is posing with 53 metal spoons sticking to his body. Isn’t that weird? Well, that’s what we thought…and that’s the reason we have included it to our list of ten weirdest world records.
7. The Oldest Gymnast
It is a common belief and a general truth that when people grow older, they lose a considerable amount of energy, vitality and their health also deteriorates. As a result of all this, it sometimes even becomes hard for the old to walk properly. However, there is a weird example that contradicts this popular belief. At the age of 86 years, Johanna Quass, who was born in Germany in 1925, is a regular participant in the amateur competition Landes-Seniorenspiele, which takes place in Saxony, Germany. Once on the stage of ‘Lo Show dei Record’ in Italy, Rome, she performed a floor-and-beam routine. Isn’t it weird to see someone as old as herself to be so full of energy. No wonder she has made it to our list of ten weirdest world records.
6. The Tallest Living Dog
Well, it’s always weird when animals set up world records. Not that I have anything against the animals, but it is just weird to see that they set world records even without them knowing their own achievement. On our list of ten weirdest world records, we have a record that is set by a dog. Yes! Zeus, a Great Dane, is the tallest living dog. Zeus lives in the USA and is owned by Denise Doorlag and her family, who are settled in Otsego, Michigan, United States of America. He is measured to be 1.118 m, which equals to 44 inches. He is also the Tallest Dog Ever!! – The title that previously belonged to Giant George.
