Letting bygones be bygones, we happily report what this sad little fact does not mar the fact the Brazil is one of the most amazing destinations in the entire world and therefore, we are going to introduce you to a list of facts to know about the country. We are pretty damn sure that you weren’t previously aware that Brazil had so much to hide. Just joking, please enjoy the interesting facts given below.
10. Tanning Beds are Banned in Brazil
So for the first interesting fact we have tanning beds on our list of things to know about Brazil. Did you guys know that Brazil is perhaps the only country in the world to place a ban on tanning beds thereby restricting the use of the same by the citizen? We bet you didn’t but before you start to think of this as something unfair, we actually believe the government is doing a favor to the people you know why? Because Brazil has its fair share of amazing sun and what is better than going natural eh? Lay down a sun bed and relax your way to any amazingly tanned body.
9. Catholic Population
So if we ask you guys which country has the highest number of Catholics in their population, what would response be? Spain is it or Italy maybe? Well no sir, it is Brazil! So the next thing you will be finding out on our list of facts to know about Brazil is that 64% of its population is Catholic.
8. Brazilian Athletes
Ok so what do you guys really know about Brazilian athletes? We all know that they are really good at almost all of the sports that they participate in right? So what would we have to mention on our list of things to know about Brazil and that too about their athletes? Well did you guys know how they financed their way to the Olympics in the year 1932? By selling coffee along the way!
7. Ethanol as Fuel for Cars
Should we call Brazil a green country (and no not for the natural greenery) for the fact that it uses Ethanol as fuel for all its new cars? Well not all of them but nearly 90% of all new cars (which, by the way, is more than good enough) that are being sold in Brazil run on ethanol which is produced from sugar cane! Now if this is not green we don’t know what is!
6. Brazil is Big on Education
Here is another interesting little fact on our list of things to know about Brazil. Did you guys know that prisoners in Brazil can reduce their span of prison time by four days by reading a book and writing a report on it? We think this is really amazing because imagine that all you have are self help books, books about leading a good life, books about honesty and then imagine prisoners trying to reduce their prison sentence via reading and since they have to write a report, they would actually have to read the book. This would inturn mean that they have a very real chance at improving as human beings right?
