There’s no rocket science in understanding that even the slightest of change of function in human brain can have a huge impact. Technically speaking, the more the creative profession one is involved in, the greater the level of impact brain gets to face. This study, basically helped us in generating our list of top 10 mental disorders found in famous artists.
Did You Know?
The neurological systems that cause psychological problems are very similar to the systems that induce creative thought processes. i.e. The part of the brain that makes you go bonkers, also helps you become creative. This means that most creative people, writers, poets, and artists are more likely to experience mental disorders than people from other creative professions. In a research to find a relation between madness and ingenuity, Simon Kyaga (consultant psychiatrist and lead researcher) said and I quote “When you’re manic, you get more things done, but you also get more and wider ideas. And the more ideas you have, the more creative you are”. And since we all find a lot of inspiration from such artists (or maybe some of us even want to become one, I know I do!), let’s talk about what they had to face to get there.
